Our Brewmaster -
Kevin Ward:
Our Head Brewer, Kev Ward, joined us in March 2013. Born in Liverpool, England he studied his craft in the many microbreweries of England’s southern counties. A traditionalist with a flair for the creative and an attention to detail inspired by many years in the London restaurant scene working alongside some of England’s top Michelin starred Chefs.
Committed to the ‘local’ scene, Kev sources many of his ingredients locally including raw honey from ‘Frederichs Honey Farm’ in Cedar and fresh hops from the nearby ‘Cedar Valley Hop farm’. British Columbian & Canadian barley form the bulk of Wolf’s grain bill and the spent grain is turned over to local farmers for additional use as animal feed.
“Being of British origin, I am looking forward to introducing an ‘Old World Style’ of brewing to the Island scene with naturally carbonated cask and bottle conditioned beer while also mixing in with the vibrant and creative Pacific Northwest scene that has made this part of the world a Mecca for craft beer lovers”.
