At Virtuosum Orthodontics, we offer lingual braces as orthodontic treatment. Lingual braces are custom-designed braces that are hidden behind the teeth and are virtually ‘invisible’ when smiling. This ‘invisible’ treatment style delivers cosmetic appeal with the control of conventional braces.

Lingual braces still use the traditional system of brackets and archwires to apply gentle pressure on the teeth to guide them into position. Each small, smooth bracket is fitted to the back surface of your teeth with orthodontic glue. A very thin archwire then connects these brackets, which is tightened at each of your orthodontic appointments. They’re permanently attached to the inside of the upper and lower teeth until completion of treatment when the teeth are in their optimal position. This creates the gentle pressure needed to encourage your teeth to move into the desired position for a beautiful smile.
