The fittings are located in the epicentre of the famous most important vineyard of Europe: La Mancha, particulary in the small town of Villanueva de Alcardete in the esatern part of the province of Toledo, nearby the one of Cuenca's border.
Bodegas Verduguez small and middle-sized family business (4th generation) are mainly devoting to the production, ageing and bottling of upper quality mono-variety wines and also organic wines which are marketed above all on the foreign markets. Furthermore, this wine cellar is inscribed in the Council Regulation of D. O La Mancha what proves the quality of its wines.
The actual wine cellar was set up the same year it was built in 1950, but under another name. Bodegas Verduguez market premium wines (upper quality wines, specializing the current generation in the preparation, classification and sale of bottled 100% mono-variety wine D. O La Mancha, starting its expansion abroad in 1999.
It has been operating as Bodegas Verduguez since 1994, when its present Chairman and owner, Miguel Angel Verduguez Morata thanks to clear approach on quality, started changing from the production of red and white wine and also bulk wine (that is to say in tanker trucks) to the production of pure mono-variety wine with the necessary preparation, classification and correction to meet the requirements of the market.
On the other hand, he started to restructure its vineyard, changing traditional plantations to different new typically Spanish grape varieties together with foreign varieties like young varietal red wine (Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah) , young varietal white wine (Macabeo, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay) , on other hand he devoted himself to the production of red and white organic wine, originated from Tempranillo and Airen varieties.
