Steam generators are designed to produce saturated steam, used in various technological processes at many manufacturing enterprises.

A steam generator is a device, consisting of:

- air-tight thick-walled tank with built-in electrical heating elements;

- pumping installation;

- control cabinet with a block for determining the water level.

Steam generators operate in round the clock and fully automated mode. The presence of an operator in the operation process is not required. The steam pressure is kept automatically in the limits of 0.2 to 4.0 atm.

Feeding and the level of water in the boiler are provided automatically with the help of a built-in pumping installation, independently from the pressure in the circuit.

Several individual protection systems are foreseen, which are activated in case of:

- lowering of the water level below the emergency one;

- absence of water in the pumping plant;

- incorrect mode of the water level sensors.

In case of malfunction of the first level protection system, there’s the second protection level which foresees the device shut-off. And at the rise of the pressure over 4 atm, mechanical protection in the form of stall valve is activated, preventing an emergency situation.
