TQM Itaca is a well-established star in the measurement and SPC firmament and is part of the Tamburini Group. By taking advantage od the synergies between other members of the group-Tamburini Tecnic and Tamburini SRL with its registered SIT calibration laboratory-TQM Itaca is able to provide customers with measuring systems for off-line SPC controls and post-process 100% inspections.
TQM Itaca's SPC systems include standard or bespoke gauges, proprietary software, benefiting from years of experience in collaboration with our customers, and hardware (PCs and interfaces) .
TQM Itaca's products can be used in any manufacturing industry. We have accomulated considerable experience over the years, especially dynamic geometrical controls, in the following sectors: automotive, electric motors, various components, general mechanics etc. TQM Itaca is specialized in sophisticated control systems for brake discs and drums, shaft and electric motors, gear and special parts, that can be integrated with the mechanical working lines. Our SPC systems are also fully network capable and we have a vast experience in network management for quality data collection from diverse measuring devices.
SPC is fundamental in order to keep the production process under control, correctly interpret incoming data from measurement systems, reduce reject and downtime costs and generally understand what is being produced and how. TQM Itaca provides extremely valid support to customers in the form of consultancy, personnel training, design of dedicated gauges, software customization and after-sales support.
FOCUS ON THE MAIN CONTROL SYSTEMS
The control system for BRAKE DISC AND DRUM complies with the guidelines of the automotive industry. The supplied devices are highly appreciate for their easiness of use and precision in measurement. The machine measures in a very short time many disc or drum features, such as DTV with 5 microns tolerance; the measuring cycle is fully automatic, the approximate time for the measurement of a disc of medium dimensions is 20 seconds. Different solutions, studied to fulfil the requirements of the customer, are available: manual loading measuring station, integration of the system in a conveyor-fed production line or installation in a line served by articulated robot. We guarantee the complete traceability of every single piece measured, conforming to the last requiremens of the market. As our main target is to supply customers with full integrated systems, we can obviously grant the dialogue with external devices, such as lathes, balancing and marking machines.
The control system for SHAFT and ELECTRIC MOTORS has been developed for acquisition, storing and analysis of the profile of cylindrical surfaces in rotation according to the laboratory roundness measuring system methods. The measuring cycle is automatic and the system can easily be integrated into automatic lines. The testing mechanical structure is very simple. It is comprised of two V-shaped shaft supports and a gearmotor with drive belt. The value is read by an electronic contact probe. The cycle time is approximately 2-4 seconds depending on the diameter. Repeatability tests carried our using a master (on 25 consecutive measurements with repositioning) give a value of 6 sigma less than 0, 3 microns. The measured value is both displayed as polar profile and linear graph with possible zooming. If necessary, it is possible to save the graph of each test. The results are stored into Itastat database available for proper statistical analyses.
It is possible to control up to 16 sections at the same time. The verified features can refer to a single section or resulting from a comparison of various sections.
