All in one dating boot camp where you’ll learn proven techniques to save you time, energy, and money with both offline and online dating. Best of all you’ll do all of this with a Dating Doc approved accountability partner. This is Chris Feliciano, creator of the Dating Doc and currently the one responsible for these words. I’m normally not at a loss of words when it comes to verbal communication, but now that you have to read what the heck made me think of this concept it’s important we start from the beginning.Life before being a dating coach consisted of working M-F as a military officer, working out, reading at a local coffee shop, and yes a frustrating dating life. Don’t get me wrong I’ve met some amazing women, but I can tell that the magical buttery feelings of meeting someone on a Friday night became more and more like a social interview. This realization started in 2010 when making a phone call was still a thing but slowly I started seeing the dependence on texting over voice-to-voice chemistry building.

The second that I started to self-reflect and fully analyze all the external influences shaping the current dating environment – an earthquake hit….

“It takes strength and authenticity to love”

Fast forward and months later I am hundreds of miles away from my home deployed to Haiti in a crisis response mission after the devastating earthquake ravaged the island in March of 2010. While assisting orphans, non profit organizations, and other coalition armies I knew there was a lingering feeling of “something” – yet unexplained.Coming back from Haiti I was left spent and honestly jaded with home. While I enjoyed all the things we take for granted such as clean water, technology, and happy hours it felt like the kids in Haiti really knew the secret. The smiles, hugs, and conversations I had with people from various countries became the priority over finding the closest working Wi-Fi. I then picked up Tim Ferriss’ “The 4 Hour Workweek”, and the universe felt as if it had slapped me with the truth. I was to help others find what I was trying to explain earlier that year, we have a serious connection crisis!

I quickly became obsessed with learning everything about business from P&L’s, SEO, web design, and so much more. Often I’d have to learn to take time for myself as the anxiety of not working on my business caught up with me in the form of chest pains. Like a mad scientist coming up with a new potion or a mechanic working tirelessly in his garage, I knew this was my sole focus. This “potion” became Scenergy Dating.

“How many men and women showed up?”

Scenergy Dating was a combination of events, matchmaking, and date coaching. Things were going well with the company as at its pinnacle we hosted events in over 12 cities, catered to high-level executives, and regularly featured on the local news. It was profitable and seemed like a well-oiled machine. Unfortunately, and I mean very unfortunately, I was emotionally bankrupt. While we had some awesome success both financially and even influencing marriages, it also allowed a platform for group negativity.

The nervousness that attendees felt from an event would be twisted into negativity because we were to blame for them not finding the love of their life, yet most of the night they were alone playing on their phone. We also had numerous cases of matchmaking clients that while on the outside had an amazing career and professional resume – were not the example at dating. They would project their obnoxious and hateful behavior not only at me, but also at the men and women we would introduce them to. I knew then that the major problem was not the way or how people find each other but the why people find each other.
