The Bazeley Partnership is an RIBA Chartered Practice with offices in Bude and St. Austell. Working throughout Cornwall, Devon and the South-West, The Bazeley Partnership draws on a long and successful history of over 100 years of award winning architectural practice throughout the region.

Building projects are by their very nature complex in their realisation involving many people from different disciplines with numerous other influences brought to bear such as cost and legislation etc. Our role in this process is essentially twofold: to create a building design that satisfies our client’s requirements and secondly to guide the process by which the design is made manifest. Fundamental to our approach to design is our concern with the people who will come to use the building when complete. Not only must the building be useable for its purpose but it should be an attractive environment for its occupants which should add to their sense of well-being. In practical terms our building designs aim to be affordable not only in terms of their construction but over the life of the building in the cost of their maintenance. We also believe that good design adds financial benefit in the potential re-sale value of a building. With the threat to the environment of global warming we are keen promoters of a sustainable approach to projects to reduce unnecessary pollution and create efficient, elegant and functional buildings that respond sensitively and imaginatively to individual sites.

We provide the full range of services expected of an architectural practice. In addition we can provide other services such as investigating the feasibility of the requirements, developing design proposals, applying for statutory approvals

preparing construction information, obtaining tenders for building work, administering a building contract, interior design, design of furniture and fittings, landscape design services, building surveys, project management, accessibility audits,

listed building consents and conservation area consents.

The RIBA has developed a Quality Accreditation Scheme by which the public can be assured that certain quality standards have been established in a practice. As a requirement of membership The Bazeley Partnership has in place an appropriate professional indemnity insurance, a minimum ratio of RIBA Chartered Architects to staff, a quality management system, a health and safety policy, an employment policy programme of continuing professional development (CPD) to further develop our knowledge and skills.
