In September 1986, the company started its activity in the Maringa Shopping Centre, in Leiria as RASP - Regas, Adubos, Sementes e Pesticidas, Lda1a commercial company with shares, of Lda. responsibility with a share capital of EUR5.000, and established by Casimiro Rodrigues Soares and his wife Maria Cecilia Fernandes Pedro Soares.
At the end of 1989 an opportunity to commercialize liquid fertilizers came up as the result of negotiations with FERTIBERIA - Spain, TECNIFERTI, S.A having for that effect invested in suitable facilities in an uncovered area of 3.300m2 and a covered area of 780m2, in Regueira de Pontes.
In 1998, TECNIFERTI S.A. achieved its goal and purchased suitable facilities in an uncovered area of 8.600m2 and a covered area of 1.400m2 in Muge, parish of Salvaterra de Magos, district of Santarem, where the factory is located with a production and storage capacity of 20.000 tons and with a medium density of 1.38 g/cm3.
The company decided to create two brands, TECNIFERTI (techniques and fertilization), registered in 1992 and HUMIFOSFATO (Humus and phosphorus), registered in 2002.
The constant concern for Quality and Complete Customer Satisfaction and for the development of national and international agriculture caused the company to implement a System of Quality Management that was certified in December 2003 according to Norm NP EN ISO 9001.
In September 2008, with the aim to make it uniform and allow for a better recognition at national and international level the company decided to change the company name of RASP - Regas, Adubos, Sementes e Pesticidas, Lda. to TECNIFERTI S.A.
TECNIFERTI, S.A. is exclusively dedicated to the production and commercialization of liquid fertilizers for the national and international markets and during its 24 years of activity it has acquired a leading position in the market of liquid fertilizers with the brand name TECNIFERTI, HUMIFOSFATO, NICROGEL and NITROGEL.
