This lock miter router bit creates an accurate 45-degree miter with a built-in tongue and groove to keep the joint aligned. The interlocking 45 degree cuts will produce extremely strong joints, these joints not only increases mechanical strength, but also increases glue surface area and automatically aligns parts.
When positioned properly, the bit will cut both pieces of stock without having to adjust the bit.
