What began a number of years ago as a hobby has now become a passion, as I strive to breed beautiful birds while paying close attention to the American Poultry Association (APA) Standard of Perfection. Often, breeds that I work with are rare or in some cases endangered varieties of poultry.

Sunshine Acres is a family operated farm where the main focus is on breeding Heritage breeds of chickens to APA standards. I also work with some more exotic, ornamental and rare varieties, in addition to some bantam breeds.
