Vancouver is home to some of the best dancers and choreographers in the industry and we're proud that they call Studio North home. Our owners are two of Canada's most well known dancers who have consistently represented Canada on a global scale; whether it's teaching internationally, or winning international competitions such as Hip Hop International, Vibe Dance Competition, Body Rock, or NBC's World of Dance. As dancers ourselves, we know what it's like attending a dance class for the first time and we've gone above and beyond to make your first visit an experience like never before.

All of our staff are committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment for professional and new dancers alike. From technical form like contemporary and jazz funk, to foundational styles such as hip hop, popping, or afro, we offer it all! Whether it's your first class or you're a seasoned vet, Studio North's community is welcoming and supportive and will always make you feel at home. We are passionate about fostering meaningful relationships that will last a lifetime both in and outside of the studio.

What Makes Studio North Stand Out?

There are tons of dance studios across the lower mainland, so what makes us special? Our studio? Our teachers? The variety in dance styles? Well, all of the above!

When building Studio North, our mission was simple: to revolutionize the dance class experience. After extensive research and consultation with industry experts, we built a state-of-the-art facility by dancers, for dancers. Let's take a quick tour:

First is Studio 1, which measures 45 x 25 feet. This is our main studio which you might recognize from all of our class videos on YouTube. Professionally sprung dance floor, custom acoustic panels, and customized lighting allow for the best in-class experience.

Next is Studio 2 measuring 31 x 22 feet, perfect for a more intimate class setting or rehearsal. Outfitted with custom acoustic panels, mood lighting, and professional grade sound system, Studio 2 is the complete package.

Last but not least is our lounge, which was specifically designed for dancers to connect and relax before class starts. As soon as you walk up the stairs, you're immediately greeted by our friendly front desk staff who will check you in for class. You'll notice our lounge is modern, clean and pays homage to hip hop, Canadian talent, and local artists.

In terms of pricing, we have options for every budget! If it's your first time, we recommend taking advantage of our welcome offer - 5 classes for $75! Individual drop-ins are $17/class and we offer a number of memberships which offer major discounts on classes and merchandise.
