Description
Sichuan Micro-DSP Technology Co., Ltd. (short as Micro-DSP or MDSP) was established in 1999 by Dr. Robert McRae, the founder of C.I. Mutual Funds and other well-known companies in Canada. The mission of Micro-DSP is to develop DSP based products to meet the needs of health care industry. Our main products include hearing aid devices, speech correction devices, noise cancellation applications, personal digital assistant devices, and other portable battery-powered DSP-based products where size and power consumption are as important as flexible software processing capability.
MDSP positions ourselves as a specialist to provide affordable digital solutions for hearing-impaired people. Based on low power consumption, miniature, and open DSP platforms, Micro-DSP has extensive experience in developing a full line of unique products to improve human communication. Among many advanced digital hearing instruments, our four most successful lines are Simplia, InspiriCa, Intelligia, and Aurale. Aurale, one of the newest family members, is the first creation of truly interactive hearing aids in the world. This instrument smartly interacts with users, dispensers and manufacturers in real time.
For speech communication, the significant achievement of Micro-DSP is the development of the first stuttering treatment device in the world: SpeechEasy, a true fluency device. SpeechEasy is a patented and innovative fluency device, based on more than ten years' research and clinical study. This device has renewed the hope of speaking fluently for more than 60 million patients around the world. Presently almost 9,000 stuttering patients have been helped by SpeechEasy in the USA, Canada, Norway, Germany, the UK, South Africa, Israel, Australia, Spain, China, Korea and other countries and regions.
MDSP has expanded our research and development interest into other areas - hearing care, such as tinnitus, a disorder affecting millions of people around the world. With two year's intensive research and development, in 2006, MDSP successfully developed the first integrated tinnitus evaluation and management instrument - TinniTest. Our module based digital system can work either as a stand-alone audiology evaluation instrument or as a special tinnitus diagnostic machine. The proprietary algorithm powers all functions that easily meet the needs of clinical assessment and tinnitus management. TinniTest and related treatment products have been SFDA approved and FDA registered in the USA.
The tremendous success of MDSP owes to our experienced management teams and talented employees. Our young yet motivated professionals such as DSP engineers, audiologists, physicians, software programmers and many others are the driving force for our continuing growth in both revenues and IP values. In total, Micro-DSP has applied and received more than 54 patents covering a core group of technologies in treating human communication disorders. For the protection of intellectual properties, Micro-DSP has applied for and received 41 trademarks and 50 domain names in the related areas.
For the past 10 years, Micro-DSP has developed into a top firm in the field worldwide. We are looking forward to continuous development in the near future.
