About us, in 1988 Wally started manufacturing the building industry wedges in his manufacturing factory. A new kiln-dried hardwood shim/wedge called Shimco. The shim/wedge features grooves spaced equidistant at 3 mm on each side of the body in oppose pairs.

Wally’s passion for working in the building industry started as a young man growing up on a farm in Manitoba. His grandfather was a great inspiration to him. He was always finding new and innovated ways to do thing better. Wally worked in the home building industry before developing the Shimco Shim/Wedges.

Wally loves working with all types of wood. This is his passion.
