Shaylers Vision Centre provides a professional eye care service for all ages. Optometrist, Geoff Shayler BSc., FCOptom, FCSO has been researching visual processing problems in children and adults. These problems are a major factor in learning problems in children. They also affect adults with brain injury, multiple sclerosis, stress, depression, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and can cause eyestrain, headaches and postural problems associated with VDU use. During the past 15 years, Geoff has published over 30 articles in Optometry Journals around the world and lectured in the US, Europe and here in the UK. Geoff has been instrumental in developing and utilising new assessment and therapeutic techniques to investigate, monitor and treat these visual problems. Optometric vision therapy can make major changes to patients with visual processing problems.

Children and adults with strabismus (squint) and ambyopia (lazy eye) are often told that treatment must be carried out before the age of 8 - THERE IS NO EVIDENCE FOR THIS!. They can be helped at any age!
