S.C. ROMCARBON S.A. was founded in 1952 in Buzau, under the name Chimica (Chemical Factory), having as object of activity the plastic materials processing.

S.C. ROMCARBON S.A. functions according to Laws no. 15/1990, 31/1990 and HG 121 / 1990.

The initial activity was diversified by implementing new technologies:

fabrication of active coal and protection materials for respiratory airways

processing of plastic materials as: polyethylene, PVC, polystyrene and polypropylene

fabrication of auto filters

fabrication of electrical conductors and telecommunications cables and wires

Starting with the Revolution in 1989, Romcarbon took off towards the open business market economy. As the business environment got more and more dynamic, the company had to find solutions to survive and then to prosper.

The company is currently listed on Bucharest Stock Exchange, second tire, under ROCE symbol. The transfer from RASDAQ took place on 30th of May 2008.

Following its orientation towards the market economy, the company introduced the quality management system. Currently Romcarbon has SRAC certification.

Quality certificates

Based on the new regulation on the international market the company decided to introduce the quality management system for filters according to the specification ISO/TS/16949 and of the QualityEnvironment Integrated Management System completed in 2007.

ROMCARBON SA remains the main supplier for the Romanian market for:

filters for automobiles, trucks, tractors, industrial installations, etc.

protection materials for respiratory airways and active coal unique producer in Romania

polyethylene , high impact polystyrene and PVC products

unique producer in Romania for EPS trays

biggest national producer of PP sacs.

The beneficiary of Romcarbon`s products are big state companies, important private capital firms from Romania but also from Bulgaria, Ukraine, Moldova, Bosnia, Croatia, Malta, Israel, Greece, Poland and Serbia.
