Pathology Associates - A Charles River Company (PAI) is the largest contract toxicologic pathology company in the world. Since 1981, we have been serving the biomedical community including government, medical device, biopharmaceutical, chemical and consumer product industries. Specifically, our diverse staff of veterinary pathologists is uniquely qualified to augment product development programs. The depth and breadth of our experience are well suited to supplement discovery research, as well as address efficacy, safety, mechanistic and regulatory issues of today's human therapeutics under development. PAI operates 6 full-service laboratories and has facilities and/or program/project offices at numerous locations around the US. Each of the laboratories is equipped to provide complete Good Laboratory Practice (GLP)-compliant necropsy, histology and histopathology services, and many are prepared to routinely offer a wide variety of specialty pathology-based disciplines to support research programs. Throughout these various locations, PAI maintains a staff of over 35 veterinary pathologists, with greater than 80% boarded by the ACVP. PAML is a medical reference laboratory serving physicians, hospitals, members of the community, employers, and other allied health professionals.
