ODF Technologies Inc. was created in 2005 to develop buccally fast dissolving film strips for oral hygiene, nutraceutical, OTC, pharmaceutical and veterinary applications for marketing under license with industrial partners.

The Orally Dissolving Film (ODF) System consists of a thin fast dissolving film that can be loaded with a wide variety of active ingredients for delivery to the mouth, either on the tongue or sublingually.

The ODF facility occupies an area 5,300 sq ft and has a Quality Control and R D laboratory for the development of new products, manufacturing of prototypes and for quality control.

The GMP manufacturing area has a clean room for scale-up, process optimization and manufacture of the product aqueous dispersion and of roll films using a 40 ft casting and drying oven for trial, stability, clinical batches and commercial manufacture.

There is a packaging area with two separate clean rooms for cutting and packaging of roll films into strips for packaging into dispensers or aluminium foil pouches. In addition there are sampling, weighing and storage rooms.
