Now you can safely and quickly test packages for leak tightness - down to 7 micron channels. The nuvoTrace Trace900 exposes the samples to a slight vacuum and then allows any leak path(s) to pull Helium into the package. A second chamber draws any leaking Helium out of the sample and into a non-Mass Spec Helium detector. No need for large, cumbersome and high maintenance vacuum pumps in this unit. The Trace900 alleviates waste and mess associated with the current wet method. If the sample passes, return it to the production run. When a sample leaks, product can be removed from the defective package and returned to the production area while only the packaging material needs discarding. Operator has the option to use a hand probe to locate the source of the leak. Up to ten (10) different programs allows versatility in testing many different sizes of packages. Simple to operate; easy to use. The Trace900 does not have any maintenance items such as lasers, cameras or load cells.
