A 30 year resident of the Montclair area, he has experienced all the joys and challenges of life in New Jersey suburbs. He has taught courses at the Montclair Adult Education School. He is an active leader in his church, where he has been elected to the top lay office several times and sings in the choir. He also sings in a community choral group.

Nat earned a degree from Middlebury College in Vermont where he is an alumni class agent. Prior to joining Raymond James he worked in international commercial banking which included several years living in the Bahamas and Brazil, as well as extensive travel throughout South America. He has two daughters and three grandchildren.
