Application
1. Chemical industry.Alloy601 is used in processing heaters,condenser tubes in sour-water strippers,insulating cans in ammonia reformers,also used for combustor components and catalyst grid supports in equipment for nitric acid production.
2. Petrochemical industry. Alloy601 is used for catalyst regenerators and air preheaters in manufacture of high-density polyethylene.
3. Thermal processing industry. Alloy601 is used for baskets,trays,and fixtures for annealing,carbutizing,carbonitriding,nitriding and other heat-treating operations,including thermocouple protection tubes,furnace-atmosphere generators,and infrared radiant screens.
4. Pollution-control applications. Alloy601 is used for thermal reactors in exhaust systems of gasoline engines and for combustion chambers in solid waste incinerators.
5. Power-generation field. Alloy601 is used for superheater tube supports,grid barriers,and ash-handling systems.
