Mantra has a patented process called Electrochemical Reduction of CO2 (ERC) that allows for the utilization of CO2 currently emitted from industrial stacks.  Captured CO2 can be turned into valuable chemicals such as formates or synthetic gases and then used in various existing applications.Products from the ERC process can be sold for a profit or utilized internally, turning the CO2 emission into a bottom line gain. This allows CO2 emitting companies to reduce their carbon footprint, turn their emissions into profits and overall become a more greenhouse gas friendly operation.Mantra also is developing a unique mixed reactant fuel cell that can run off the same chemicals produced by ERC and can therefore power both stationary and mobile devices.Taken in combination the ERC process and fuel cell also becomes an energy storage system suited for various renewable energy applications that require storage for off-peak demand.
