MANSION CREEK CELLARS

Join us in our tasting room on the first floor of Walla Walla’s Marcus Whitman Hotel. We source grapes from premier Washington vineyards to craft both Spanish and Portuguese style blends using Iberian varietals like Grenache, Tempranillo, Tinta Cão, Touriga Nacional, and Souzão. Mansion Creek Cellars wines are a unique fixture of the Walla Walla wine scene and we are sure to be the highlight of your visit to our region! The story of Mansion Creek Cellars™ begins with our matriarch, “Mama Julia” Russell. Raised in Galicia in the northwestern part of Spain, Julia relocated with her family to Washington State many years ago. Fascinated by Washington’s burgeoning wine industry, Julia sensed an opportunity to produce unique Iberian-style varietals that would rival anything the Old World had to offer. In 2007, she turned that opportunity into a reality by starting Mansion Creek Cellars.
Mama Julia passed along her love of fine winemaking and passion for the industry to her son Denny, who took over Mansion Creek Cellars in 2017 with his wife Tina. “We wanted to carry on her legacy,” said Denny. “It has been a wonderful experience working with growers and accomplished winemakers throughout Walla Walla and Washington State.”
Denny and Tina are active in every facet of the business, producing smooth, balanced, and elegant wine varietals from Portugal and Spain. They work in partnership with growers and accomplished winemakers throughout Walla Walla and Washington State to ensure every bottle meets the highest standards for taste, purity, and quality.
In addition to managing Mansion Creek Cellars, Tina Russell maintains a career as a finance manager while Denny works as a microbiologist. Denny also travels the country pursuing his passion for rugby as a referee and a player. We are proud of our Iberian-influenced varietals, but we are equally as proud of the winemaking community in Washington State. Over the years, we have established relationships with some of Washington’s top winegrowers in Walla Walla and the famous Red Mountain AVA.
