Long Mats is a Division of Long Lumber Company, Inc. located in Southeast Alabama in the little town of Slocomb. Slocomb is well known for it's tomato harvest; there's no tomato that taste better than Slocomb tomatoes.

For forty years there was only one small circle saw mill in Slocomb, Alabama; owned & operated by Mr. Glen & Earnest Casey. They closed in 1984 then sold the mill at auction and retired. During 1992 Mr. Earnest and his brother Glen sold Long Lumber Co. the old mill site.

Upon purchasing an old Eford pole mill; in the spring of 1992 we began peeling poles. In 2001, we began building a new hardwood saw mill, manufacturing grade lumber and crossties. In 2006 we established the Long Mat division. Today, mats are our primary product.
