Disc Cutter Components

Disc Cutter Hub（housing）

Litian disc cutter hub is forged from high-quality alloy steel, heat treatment hardness is HRC36-40, with good wear resistance, deformation resistance, comprehensive performance. We have developed cutter hubs according to different geological conditions and working conditions in a targeted manner to best suit the requirements of different strata. The roughcast of the cutter hub is forged, which makes the material structure dense and improves the load capacity.

The hubs are processed by CNC machines, and the inner holes of the bearing seats at both ends are processed at one time to ensure the machining accuracy, and there is no damage, deformation, severe wear of the cutter hub.

Disc Cutter Shaft

Using high-quality materials, with suitable hardness and toughness, our disc cutter shaft can meet different geological needs. The selection of the cutter shaft focuses on two aspects, the wear resistance of the shaft surface and the strength of the core. After the bearing is worn, it needs to be removed from the cutter shaft, therefore, the surface of the cutter shaft needs to have high wear resistance, so that the surface will not be strained, which is conducive to the reuse of the cutter shaft components.

End cover

Using high-quality materials, the hardness of the end cover is suitable, which can meet the long-distance use under different geological conditions, and there will be no serious wear of the retainers.

Retainer Ring

The retainer ring design can meet the long-distance use under different geological conditions, and there will be no situation as breakage and shedding, and the resulting loss of the disc cutter ring, resulting in the failure of the cutter.

Metal floating seal retainer

Using high-quality seals from well-known brands, such as TRELLEBORG. The seal has excellent high temperature resistance, reliable sealing performance, meets long-distance use in harsh working environments, and does not cause oil leakage and mud ingress caused by the failure of the metal floating seal. In TBM disc cutter assembly, the distortion of rubber ring may lead to disc cutter leakage, and this kind of hidden trouble is difficult to check out. In this regard, our disc cutter assembly uses special technology to correct the distortion of the rubber ring, eliminate the hidden danger of metal seal air leakage, and ensure the reliable sealing of the disc cutter.

Bearing

Our disc cutter bearing system uses Timken and other well-known brands. The bearings have good quality and long service life, which can withstand the combined radial and axial load-bearing strength at the same time and reach the rated load capacity of the disc cutter design.
