The unique mesoclimate (or site climate) at Dark Horse is one of the warmest in Canada, boasts the country’s lowest recorded rainfall (250mm) and is Canada’s only semi-arid desert. Intense sunlight ripens the grapes to full maturity while cool nights help to retain acidity.
