The company was set up in 1978 at the Sports Complex in Meerut, which was developed to promote the domestic sporting goods of the country. During that time Jalandhar was the leading manufacturer of sporting good manufacturers. Today however, Meerut is well ahead of Jalandhar and is considered to be the sporting goods capital of India.
Vicky Sports is a proprietorship with an initial investment of $50,000. Today the company is one of the best-known manufacturers of sporting goods in India. With a current total investment of more than $1.6 million spread over four manufacturing plants Vicky Sports employs more than 800 employees.
Our valued, knowledgeable and well-trained staff has helped Vicky Sports create a road to success by enabling the company to achieve its vision. The phenomenal increase in the demand for sporting goods has accelerated the company growth and allowed Vicky Sports to diversify its product portfolio. Therefore, to cater for this predominantly consumer segment the brand VICKY was divided between two distinct product categories, one being the lower priced value-for-money product segment and the other being the premium priced and high quality product segment. In order to provide customers with the highest quality of products the company invests in various technologically advanced machinery, which aids Vicky Sports to ensure that it operates efficiently, effectively and as per the industry guidelines. Further more, Vicky Sports also continuously trains its employees in the most current production processes so as to increase their skills and value and to ensure total quality management and product control. Vicky Sports has an extremely efficient distribution network with many trade relationships existing for more than two decades. The brand "VICKY" is well established and has penetrated into markets throughout India via its unique three-tier distribution strategy. This strategy comprises of distributors, direct dealers and retailers. Presently, there are more than 1000 distributors and dealers, which the company directly deals with and more than 10,000 stores nation-wide that sell VICKY products.
