Dipentaerythritol (DPE) is a white octagonal powder crystal and an important fine chemical intermediate mainly used to produce polyether, polyester, polyurethane, alkyd resin, and photosensitive resin film in the coating industry.
Stability: DPE chemical is very stable in the air and does not absorb water easily.
Other physical and chemical properties: DPE is slightly sweet and basically non-toxic.
Preparation: DPE can be extracted from products of the side reaction in the production of pentaerythritol.
Uses: DPE is mainly used in high-grade paints.
As an important fine chemical intermediate, DPE is considered as a mid-to-high grade product in the pentaerythritol industry and is mainly used in high-grade paints and mainly used to produce polyether, polyester, polyurethane, alkyd resin, and photosensitive resin film in the coating industry.
The higher-grade fats of DPE can be used as advanced aviation lubricants and lower-grade fats can be used as polyvinyl chloride plasticizers. As a light-sensitive coating, the DPE acrylates can be used like stainless steel color plates and advanced granite spray masks with strong adhesion and resistance, good friction resistance, and excellent anti-aging performance.
DPE is also used in the manufacture of alkyd resins to give paints good surface properties and hardness and used as a raw material for fatty acids, dry oils, and synthetic lubricants.
If inhaling DPE, the person should be moved to places with fresh air. If his breathing stops, he should be given artificial respiration.
For skin contact, rinse with soap and plenty of water.
For eye contact, rinse eyes with water as precautions.
For ingestion, don't feed the unconscious person through the mouth. Rinse him with water.
