The idea of producing p-toluenesulfonic acid (PTSA) on an industrial scale was initiated in 1992 during a discussion between two faculty members of the chemistry department of Isfahan university of technology (IUT).Then after signing a transfer agreement with IUT and sharing with a well known business group, Farzin Chemicals Sepahan was born. Construction of the first stage of a plant, in an industrial park just outside the city of Najafabad (Isfahan province) was completed in a record time of only three months, we were on stream! Since then, besides expansion of the production capacity, our RD team has improved on the technologies involved, the product capacity, and we will soon be enlarging our product lines to include other sulfonation products and also a pallet of additives for the local and international detergent industries.
