Therapeutic indication: It is indicated in the following conditions: arthralgia, neuralgia and myalgia in rheumatoid polyarthritis, chronic arthritis, deforming arthritis, gonarthritis, carpal arthritis, shoulder sprain, levator myalgia, frozen shoulder.

Dosage and method of administration:

Apply to the affected area and rub in gently, generally 3 times a day. Treatment should be continued for 1 to 3 weeks.

Pharmacodynamic properties:

NAJATOX is a topical dermatological analgesic anti-inflammatory preparation that contains:

- Cobra venom, a very toxic substance of a polypeptide or protein nature. Snake venom is a very powerful anti-inflammatory agent, it can be used to relieve pain.

- Methyl salicylate, analgesic and NSAID that has anti-inflammatory activity like other salicylates. It is a cutaneous rubefacient that produces redness of the skin by causing the dilation of the capillaries thus helping the skin penetration of the active ingredients and it is a local analgesic that can be used to temporarily relieve minor pain and muscle and joint pain associated with rheumatitis. , arthritis, fibrositis, back pain, myalgia, sprains.

- Eucalyptus oil, camphor, which are rubefacient for the skin that can be used as massage oil to relieve acute aches and pains, sprains, rheumatic arthralgias.

Overdose

There are no reports of overdose from topical application of the drug.

Use in pregnancy and lactation:

• NAJATOX should not be used during pregnancy.

• Caution should be exercised when administered to nursing mothers: do not apply the drug to the breast during lactation.
