The USS Vandenberg was scuttled off Key West 27th May as thousands watched the creation of a massive new artificial reef.The Gen. Hoyt S. Vandenberg was successfully sunk about 6-miles off Key West Wednesday morning. At 523-feet, the former missile tracking ship will create Florida's second largest artificial reef.Monroe County Tourism and Development CouncilIn less than two minutes, the USS Gen. Hoyt S.
