Dolphin Tale movie features the dolphin Winter. For sculptor and marine life artist Donjo, one creature has been intriguing him for years: the Dolphin. Donjo's muse lead him to a dolphin with a miraculous story of survival. In 2008, a baby dolphin was found by a fishing boat off the coast of Florida. They took her to be rehabilitated at the Clearwater Marine Aquarium . Winter lost her tail and the likelihood of survival dwindled. To protect her spine and keep her alive they decided to build her a prosthetic tail.

Donjo heard about Winter and was one of the only people from the public allowed to swim with Winter to help raise awareness for her prosthetic tail. In the lobby of the aquarium stands a statue inspired by the journey of Winter called: "Winter's Dream". Winter is featured in the
