Garage Related Services in Stevenage
Direct Services recommend that every car receives a full service annually. Regular servicing can help find minor problems with a vehicle, before they become major setbacks.
In April 2005 the Government introduced a scheme to computerise all MoT paperwork. It is hoped that this will improve the quality and accuracy of MoT tests and documents, reduce fraud and theft of MoT documents, improve administration, improve consumer protection, make MoT standards more consistent between garages.
One of the main benefits for drivers is that they can check the MoT status of any vehicle that they own, or are thinking of buying. You can do this by phoning 0870 330 0444 or by visiting the MoT computerisation web site at http://www.motinfo.gov.uk/. To check a vehicle's MoT status you will need the vehicle registration and either the MoT test number or a VT30 Refusal of an MOT Test Certificate.
The system will not only provide the MoT status of the vehicle, but information on the make and model, MoT expiry date, and the mileage of the vehicle at the time of its MoT test. This information is intended to enable potential buyers of a second-hand vehicle to make a well informed decision about its roadworthiness.
At Direct Services we have fully implemented this new procedure. All of our MoT results are now recorded on the centralised database and we now issue the new style of MoT certificate.
