As the hobby gained in popularity, the small section grew into DeFalco's Wine Cellar in the store's basement and in 1977, Dominic phased out hardware entirely, concentrating his efforts solely on home beer and wine making. Sadly, Dominic passed away in 1984, but his spirit lives on through our mascot, affectionately known as Dominic, in honour of him, our founding father. In 1991, our second store was opened and was further expanded in 1993, along with our original store, to meet the ever increasing demand for home beer and wine making. In 1997, we entered the "on-premise wine making" market and over the years have grown to become three of the largest outlets of their kind in Canada. Dedication to the customer along with quality products and service are two elements that haven't changed over the years. That was our policy when we first opened and still is today.
