ZINC INGOT EN 1179:2003 GOST 3640-791
The zinc metal is one of the most widely used non-ferrous metals. The physical, chemical properties and the substances and the various metal alloys of this metal have placed it on the list of the most widely used metals, therefore in respect to the consumption it is ranked third after aluminum and copper.
Zinc (Zn) is chemically similar to magnesium and is the 24th most abundant element in Earth’s crust. It is most commonly used to galvanize various metals in order to fight corrosion. Zinc is often combined with copper to create the popular alloy: brass. Not only is brass more ductile and stronger than copper but it also has greater corrosion resistance. Brass is used in communication equipment, hardware, musical instruments, and water valves.
