The CONTECH® 250t VAR spreader beam is a spreader with a maximum length of 12m, a minimum length of 2m and a top angle of maximum 90°. A 90° top angle is designed in order to have a relatively limited lifting height for a spreader. The spreader can be elongated by steps of 1m between 2m and 12m. Tubes are used for the construction of the beam and these tubes have to be connected with a pin to change the length of the spreader beam. No time consuming bolts are used for changing the length of the spreader but a simple pin that has to be inserted. A bollard is foreseen for the connection to the load and the crane hook.
