When pushing/pulling the lever, the crane lifting clamps safety mechanism provides constant pre-tensioning of the cam on the loads and ensures that the clamp does not slip when lifting force is applied. When a load is being lifted, the clamps for lifting force on the cam is increased by the weight of the load.

Check the lifting eyes for any stretch, wear or cracks.
Do not use plate clamps to lift load less than 20% of the rated capacity
Lift only one plate/sheet at a time
Plate must be clean and free of oil
Do not use regular lifting hoist clamp for stainless steel or aluminum plate
Do not crash the lifted cargo during lifting and transferring
Do you use single piece of horizontal lifting clamp hoist, a pair is a minimum
Never work with untested lifting clamps.
Lifting clamps used for different applications should be stored in separate places.
Lifting clamps should always be stored indoors, and never left exposed to other elements.
It will be more convenient if you put colored markings or a specific number on each hoist clamp according to its lifting capacity so that you can easily use the correct clamp for the weight.
Once a week, the hoist clamps should be inspected by the person in charge of storage, according to the specified inspection standards. Be sure to have the manufacturer perform an inspection once every two or three months.
Clamps which you have stopped using for safety reasons should be clearly marked
as defective and stored separately. They should never be left in the work area.
Be sure to record inspections in log every time they are performed.
