Bristol Ballet is a 501c3 organization, founded in 1948 by Constance Hardinge with a goal to provide quality ballet and dance training to students ages 3 and older. A performing company of Intermediate and Advanced level dancers provides three annual productions: "Christmas Illuminations" in December, "Celebration of Dance" in early spring, and a Spring Student Concert near the end of May. Other students may be used in productions, as deemed appropriate. All students perform in the Student Concert.

Michele Plescia is the Artistic Director. Michele received her early training from Miss Hardinge and performed in the company for many years. She has danced professionally in Washington DC, and received training and teaching certification from the Royal Academy of Dance.

Grants received from the Tennessee Arts Commission and The Virginia Commission for the Arts. Michele Plescia was recognized by "Minds Wide Open, Virginia Celebrates Women in the Arts" in 2010.
