When I first started in the life insurance industry back in 2012, I was amazed to discover how life insurance could be used for so many purposes. Besides simply providing for the surviving family members, it could also be used for tax and estate planning, retirement funding, business planning and so much more.

At the same time, it was eye-opening to learn about each insurance company’s diverse product offerings. Most of the product guides were dozens of pages long, so it was a prerequisite to grab a cup of coffee before diving in.

And they were long for a reason. Term and permanent life insurance had many details that were easy to overlook. I thought to myself, “if the product guides take this long to read, how are my clients going to understand it in a 30-minute meeting?” I wanted a resource where consumers could go and research life insurance before buying.

After doing a bit of digging online, I soon realized that there weren’t any resources that explained life insurance in enough detail for a consumer to make a decision. Most websites only had general articles about the various topics of life insurance. And how can you make one of the biggest purchase in your life based on so little information?

My mission is for Brian So Insurance to be the definitive guide to life insurance. I do this by providing in-depth looks at life insurance, breaking it down, analyzing the types of policies, and doing comparisons with hard numbers. My goal is to provide you with the education and knowledge necessary to make the right decision. You’re not going to find the value in my content anywhere else besides here.
