Big Rock believes that good beer can only be brewed by people who are driven by their love of beer. When it’s all about the beer, only the finest natural ingredients get used, in time-honoured traditional processes.

While that is the essence of craft beer, it alone is not enough.

We know that truly iconic craft beer can only happen when it’s brewed locally, using natural, nearby, fresh ingredients by local people who put their community, and their love of great beer, above all else.

That is the thinking behind our 4th Avenue and Alberta Street location in Vancouver. Locally brewed beer that adheres to the same deliberately differently principles that Big Rock has been committed to throughout our 30-year history:

1) The courage to try new things and stubbornly take the path of most resistance in order to find the inspiration and ingredients needed for true innovation;

2) Refusing to take short cuts or compromise on anything;
