Ban Ngai Engineering Works started out in a small shop house in 1965 in Petaling Jaya. Starting out as a machine shop making screws, shafts and other spare parts for the surrounding factories, the founder's dedication to quality and business relationships soon saw the business expanding rapidly. Soon, the fledging company's activities encompassed:

Castor Wheel and Coupling Manufacturing We restructured Ban Ngai Engineering into two complementary companies sharing 45,000 square feet of factory and office space.

Ban Ngai Engineering Sdn. Bhd.
After another eight years, the former company dealing mainly with automotive components performed so well that it, too, was incorporated in August 1998.
Ban Ngai has been involved in such prestigious projects such as building the inter-terminal railway line at the new Kuala Lumpur International Airport, erecting the steel structure for the Makro cash and carry warehouses in both Shah Alam and Johor Bahru. Ban Ngai Components produces metal parts for Proton cars, Yamaha motorcycles and Sharp and MEC electrical products.
