Opticians Ophthalmic in Bishop's Stortford

Established in 1922 under the name Ashwells as a facet of work done in a jewellers of the same name a few doors away, the business moved to the current premises as an Optical Practice in 1933 and has traded as such ever since, changing its name to Ashwell & Barrie in the 70s. We are a truly family optician, some families being represented by up to four generations of customers here.
