Cambodia is a small country in Southeast Asia; it covers an area 181035 square kilometers and has a population 15 million people .Kingdom of Cambodia borders to the northwest of kingdom of Thailand, on the north by People’s Democratic republic of Lao, on the east and northeast by the socialist Republic of Vietnam and on the south by the sea. The capital is Phnom Penh, where the people are living there more than 2 million people or population and also there are twenty five provinces, include 25 towns. Even small country, but Cambodia has the biggest lake that is the biggest fresh water in southeast, its size is 32 kilometer wide and 150 kilometer long. More and more Tonle Sap has 10000 square Kilometers in wet season and 3000 square Kilometers in dry season, in raining season from May to October water flows from Mekong river to Tonle Sap, opposite water always flows reverse backward to South China sea in dry Season from November to April. The very special is Angkor Wat temple because it is the most interesting temple in Cambodia and also the world.However, Cambodia was through the civil war 28 years that started from 1970-1998, and among of these politic forms, we can see that Khmer Rouge Regime is the genocide of pol Pot were 3 years 3 months and 20 days. In 17 April 1975 till 7 January 1979, the people in Cambodia were killed by this regime, at least 1, 7 or 2 or 3(?) million people. But in 1998, the former prime-minister Pol Pot passed away and also civil war were finished in 3th July 1998. So the government had made the project to clear the landmine that planted in the tourist places , especially in Siem Reap. From 1998 to 2008, minefields were cleared 2.3 million hectare, very sadly mined kill 70000 Khmer people and left 40000 cripple people in Cambodia.On the other hand the government set the 5 main policies for making safety in Siem Reap:

1. Frist safety and reinforce secure for tourists. 2. Build infrastructures , such as roads, water system, school, hospital .

3. Clean city 4. Green city, all hotels have to build lower than the tower of Angkor Wat and in front of those hotels, should be clean etc. 5. To transmit flood in the wet season , like build pipe water

Because of 5 new policies, Cambodia receives the tourists per year 4 million ( 60 % Asian people , 20% European, 16 American and 10% are from over the world).

Cambodian really need the tourists to visit Cambodia , because tourist is one of the major economies in Cambodia and all those money will accept in the projects to develop road systems, canals, hospitals and others at the country sites.

Otherwise, all travel agencies takes their budget 3 % that get from visiting the tourist places to fund of building wells, ponds, schools and buy school materials etc.
