You order at the counter, find a seat and get your food, and/or beverages delivered to your seat. I think generally it's busy during the winter, nice days, etc. but my boyfriend and I went on a rainy, foggy, Saturday in December and it was easy to order and get a seat at a communal table looking out to the garden. Our pot of Sencha tea was brought out quickly and was perfect for the two of us to share. We ordered a few things because we were hungry so we shared the Udon, miso soup, Chicken Karaage and pork bun. They have a variety of other little snacks so you can grab just a bite and some tea or eat a proper meal with dessert if you're hungry like us.
