DR BAGGU SRINIVASA RAO, MD., DM., (NIIMS), a Sr Neurology consultant, has been a co-founder and MD of this hospital since its inception. He graduated in MBBS AND MD in General Medicine from Andhra Medical College, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh; He did DM in Neurology from Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences, Hyderabad, India. He was a State 2nd ranker in Intermediate Public Examination, AP, in May 1992, topper in Anatomy University Examination,1994, 9th Ranker in AP PG entrance Test, 1st in NIMSET- Neurology entrance examination and a recipient of the Best Super speciality Resident of NIIMS award in 2006. He had a research experience in Herpes Simplex Virus Encephalitis-Spectrum of clinical and radiological features and its outcome, Clinical Spectrum of Pontine and Extrapontine Myelinolysis, Second Lumbrical-Interossei distal motor latency difference in the diagnosis of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome of various grades of severity and CTS associated with Polyneuropathy, Focal clinical and EEG manifestations in Juvenile Myoclonic Epilepsy, Early Hematoma expansion in Primary Intra Cerebral Haemorrhage, Risk factors and Predictors of Outcome in Spontaneous Intra Cerebral Haemorrhage etc. He had a vast experience of treating more than 2,00,000 patients with various ailments like STROKE, EPILEPSY, HEADACHE, PARKINSONISM, DEMYELINATING DISEASES, GB SYNDROME, NEURO INFECTIONS, MYASTHENIA GRAVIS, SPINAL AND RADICULAR DISEASES, FIBROMYALGIA and several other MUSCLE and NEUROLOGICAL DISEASES. An astute clinician with a passion for updated medical knowledge and an empathetic administrator, he along with another co-founder Dr Sandhya Avagadda has been instrumental in the progression of Baggu Sarojini Devi Hospital since its inception.
