As a name, 'tasta' conveys emotion. Our founder, Princess Asodaria, wanted to name her brand something that captured the essence of Indian culture. Because Sanskrit is the language of classical literature, she chose a Sanskrit word to symbolize her brand, where 'tasta' translates to fashion. With this initiative, Princess Asodaria launched 'tasta' as a fashion brand in June 2018.
At 'tasta,' we create designs inspired by Indian culture. We wanted to revive & respect Indian fabrics and respect Indian artisans. We're reinventing the subcontinent's rich heritage as contemporary high fashion by combining Indian craftsmanship and high-quality textiles. To create our designs, we fuse textile detail and refined luxury with fussy tailoring and handcrafted elements.
We at tasta, believe that every person is beautiful the way they are; it's just the perception you have of others & others of you. And in the same way, every person is unique in their way, so we, too, are.
