Differential mode inductance applications:
When common mode currents in magnetic flux superposed on each other, so as to have a considerable inductance, play an inhibitory effect on the common mode current, and when the two differential-mode current flowing through the coil, the magnetic flux cancel each other in, almost no inductance, so the differential-mode current can pass without attenuation. Therefore, the common mode inductance in a balanced line can effectively suppress common mode interference signal, but had no effect on the transmission line is normal differential mode signal.
