説明
Old Abbey Ales produces premium and ultra-premium craft beer
with a focus on Belgian style ales.
The Old Abbey logo is comprised of a Belgian lion holding a chalice and wheat sheaf. The lion and chalice signifies our dedication to producing world-class beers with a focus on Belgian style. The wheat sheaf signifies brewing and quality ingredients. The overall logo communicates class, style, and strength.
The brewery is owned by Don Piccolo, who owns a number of successful businesses including a brewery equipment manufacturing company called Brew-Stuff. All of the brewing equipment in Old Abbey Ales was manufactured through Brew-Stuff.
The main reason for the brewery was to have a demonstration brewery so customers buying brewing equipment from Brew-stuff could actually see the equipment in action. Customers can purchase a full turn-key brewery from Brew-Stuff, and then learn how to use it at Old Abbey Ales.
John Ohler is the brewery manager and Chief Operating Officer. John has a long, successful career in the craft brewing industry, starting at Howe Sound Brewing Company in 1996. John laid the foundation for Howe Sound, which has become one of the most recognized and successful craft breweries in Canada.
Tony DeWald is the brew master and brew house manager. Tony has been brewing professionally for over twenty-five years. Tony has brewed at places such as Dix, owned by Mark James Group, Dead Frog Brewery, and other well-known craft breweries. Tony is one of the best technical brewers in the industry today. His nickname is “the legend”.
