說明

The Hita District was once directly governed by the Edo shogunate Government located in the present-day Tokyo.

The Hita District is also well known as a district where its own peculiar rich culture and industries flourished since the tax burden was not so heavy as in other parts of the country.

OIMATSU SHUZO Co.,Ltd was founded in this blessed land in 1789, when Japan was still ruled by feudal lords.

Our founder began to produce sake in the Hita District, as he found the clean water gushing from the spring in the OIMATSU Shinto Shrine precinct, where there were OIMATSU, old pine trees, suitable for brewing SAKE.

This is the origin of our company name.
