Our practice on Bridge Street was taken over by current owner Andrea Kay in 2007 and we have since established an extensive customer base due to the high quality and reliability of our service

We are an independent opticians and pride ourselves on our individual approach. Throughout the course of all appointments and treatments you will be dealing with the same faces and we will use our many years of expertise to provide you with a service which is second-to-none.

Optometrist Andrea is the owner and operator of Kay-Downs Opticians Ltd. Andrea is representative of the Association of Optometrists (AOP) for the Manchester area and as a member of the Local Optical Committee (LOC), is involved in directing policy in the area.

Andrea is also secretary of the Northern Optical Society (NOC) and is a professional lecturer in optometry for the University of Manchester.
