BioWaz has since 2006 been dedicated to the development of industrial farm-based biogas plants.

A farm-based biogas plant utilises local biomass resources (mainly manure and organic waste) in a biogas plant that produces energy and bio-fertiliser to be used on the farm or sold externally.

The patented and award winning BioWaz technology comprising standardised, modular components makes the investment cost lower than most similar products on the market. The technology has been tried and tested since early 2008 and documented by The University of Life Sciences in Norway. In 2009 BioWaz launched commercially in Norway and Sweden.

BioWaz was in 2009 ranked as one of 50 most promising and innovative companies in the Nordic region for the environmental sector (Clean Tech).
